Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Ford and GM vehicles to ensure optimal performance. This role requires technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance services.
  • Provide accurate estimates for repair costs and timelines to customers or service advisors.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  • Document all repairs and maintenance activities in accordance with company procedures.
  • Stay updated on the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques.
Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of automotive repair training program or apprenticeship preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive mechanic.
  • Certifications: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification strongly preferred; valid driver’s license required.
Skills
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools (e.g., OBD-II scanners) and repair equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic.
  • Excellent problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions (e.g., standing, bending, or kneeling) for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a shop environment with exposure to noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures.
